Danny Meyer, Eat Your Heart Out

If you ever want to feel powerful, visit Blue Hill at Stone Barns and take a few trips around the room (or a trip or two to the bathroom) during dinner service.

The staff is impeccable. Every time you pass by a server, they will stop, take a small step back, and rest their hands behind their backs. Now that’s hospitality (and power I probably shouldn't be privy to).

Like magic, they also have your coats waiting for you when you leave the dining room and head back past the bar to the reception and your car will be waiting with the doors already open as you exit the main farm center area. It's like they're watching your every move on hidden camera. But they're not. They just have incredibly high standards for service.

Oh, and the food ain’t bad either.
